Knowing my luck, they'll have "sold out" by the time I get to buy one in the evening.

    Nice one.

Would a packet of Rizla (or a box of matches) be classed as 'tobacco products' I wonder? :)

Papers yes, matches no (lighters yes) unless the laws have changed since a tobacco dispenser machine had to look like a waterfall!

Thanks for this...just what's needed on a morning like this morning. Hope all centras are participating.

Useless in my case... try finding one that is "Participating".

Was in one early this morning and went to get it with the paper on the way to work... i asked the deli assistant if they were doing the offer before i started pouring and she looked at me with two heads and even asked her colleague who didn't know about it either?

    Go figure.

I echo evertything said here. What a joke. I went into my local one and no signs at all apart from the one that says tea/coffee €1.60.
I knew i'd get the response above so decided against the dohnut and just left empty handed.

Load up www.centra.ie on your smartphone and show them.

All they're doing is creating ill will among customers who see the offer and then waste time gong to a store that doesn't participate.

is there anywhere on their website that lists participating shops? Or is it just a hit and miss thing?

Great, just after finishing my breakfast roll I bought in Centra and I read this thread

They certainly weren't advertising it in the shop

Didn't know about this offer but went to buy a latte and the paper in Centra in Ratoath, Co. Meath and it was free (not even a cent). But no signage notifying customers about the offer anywhere to be seen. Complete pot-luck on my part.

That said, the coffee was horrible......definitely glad I didn't pay for it. As machine coffee goes, it's no Tim Hortons....

I didnt see any signs promoting this in the shop I was in today but I still got it for 1 cent.

This was a great surprise at lunchtime today. They had half my year in buying chomps and hot chocolates for 26c total!

I got stung myself - I went to my local work one near Marino College (dub 1) this afternoon, the staff knew nothing about it. I didn't bother questioning it and bought my coffee elsewhere.

Bit annoying - just heard another ad for it on today fm.

Sorry if like me others had a wasted journey.

I didn't know anything about this until I got to the till in Centra in Kells today. Coffee is not the best but I wanted one anyway, and to get told it was only 1 cent....I was very happy. Made my blue monday.

All stores should have been participating. Very disappointing to see such negative feedback here on what should have been a feel good promo. Work in a centra and the feedback was great in work today. Missed opportunity for those stores that didn't run with this.
