Dubai, where to stay and what to do???

Howdy,

My girlfriend and I are heading to Duabi for a week at the start of June as my girlfriend's sister lives there. Now, we are unable to stay with her so we're looking for a hotel located centrally for roughly €500; breakfast would be a bonus but we could manage without it.

Also, I'm looking to see what exactly we'll be getting up to. I'd really like to try the indoor ski centre for a day but after that we're a bit clueless and having looked at different options on line, we're still none the wiser. I'm into sports and activities but some days we do enjoy just chilling by the pool but any suggestion is grealty appreciated.

I'd recommend having a look/walk around Dubai Fountain, especially at night.

A girl I know showed up a video of the fountain at night and it was spectacular, absolutely amazing.
