    Hi,

Was heading past Middleton towards Cork when saw the blue light flash from a GoSafe van. Think i was doing 106kph in 100kph zone.

Does anyone know definitively if there is any leeway of tolerance ?

    PT

There's tolerance on your speedo. 106 indicated is usually under actual 100

Like others said if you we're doing 106kph on your speedo your real speed is likely to be below 100kph for most cars. Then there is the 5kph (IIRC) correction/tolerance before you will be "flashed"

-edit- the tolerance is 4kph, so from 105kph (100kph zone) a ticket will be issued. Loads of info in this topic: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056091811

Really need to update that some day!
    blue light flash

Its highly unlikely you saw any form of flash. All flashes from GoSafe are infrared well outside the realm of human sight. Are you sure it was a GoSafe van?

What time of day was it at?
