Small chip turned into crack

Driving around today with the missus, a small chip that I noticed before had changed into quite a large crack out of nowhere. (that's what happens when you ignore chips in suppose)

Not sure if my insurer covers windscreen. It's not in my viewing area but needs to be fixed.

Would a crack be fixed or replaced? About a 8inch crack.

I'm a busy boy, would they do a call out?

    Augoglass repair, Autoglass replace.

In this case they'd be replacing.

In this case they'll be feckin salivating, thinking about all the people with chips that read this and don't want a crack!:D

Check your insurance because some low cost insurance companies don't cover windscreens as standard.
