Hi as title suggests, Im trying to figure out the right next car! The important thing is driver comfort Due to a bad back. I've been looking at 03/4 320 tourings,Lexus 200's & old mercs. I have a golf & it's far from comfortable. Any help appreciated.

Those are my requirements too, and Saab/Volvo are the only ones on the card right now.

I find French cars in general more comfy than German ones.

They are to be fair but I just don't like them. End model E39 520 with all the bells and whistles would be my choice but not an M-Sport model if you've a bad back.

dont get a bmw 3 series of that vintage if you have a bad back, i had to get rid of one a few years ago when my back gave trouble. You are sitting very low to the ground in them & are hard to get in/out of with back trouble.

    +1 with colm_mcm & Confab
The most comfortable cars i have ever owned were Volvo S60 & Saab 95. I would lean more towards the Saab personally.

I thought you'd given up on a new car and was going to stick with the girlfriends corsa?

I tore a disc in my back and could not sit in my Megane for 10 minutes after that without feeling pain. The missus has a focus, and that's not bad, but I changed to a Saab 9-5 (2001) and its a revelation. I have driven Dublin to Sligo and back in the same day and not a twinge. Super comfy.
