    Hi there,

Just a quick query. We had switched to the online option instead of paper bills with a direct debut and received a discount. This was a year or more ago. We moved house recently and we have a DD set up but are receieving paper bills again.

Is there still a discount available for us if we switch to online bills again ?

    Thanks!

Also just wanted to double check something. Is it true that its cheaper to use electricity in the evenings (when on the standard rate)? Or is that an urban myth??

    Thanks!

    Hi augusta24,

Signing up to online billing entitles new and existing customers to an additional 2% on any given price plan. To have the most suitable price plan applied to your account, you can either ring 1850 30 50 90, sign up online, or send us a private message right here on boards.

If you're on a 24hr standard tariff, then it wouldn't be any cheaper - you would need to be on our Nightsaver tariff. Then all units used in the hours the hours of 11pm - 8am (midnight - 9am in summertime) are approximately 50% cheaper. Note however that the day unit charge and daily standing charge are increased, so you need to be using roughly a quarter of your electricity in the designated hours to benefit from this tariff.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards,

    David
