Today I see a one inch long, deep scratch on the car, through to the metal. Paint gone, beyond polishing out.

Can anyone recommend someone for a really good repair, South Dublin/north Wicklow for a fussy owner? Car is silver metallic.

You need to change colour completely, pretty much everyone here despises silver cars :D

On a more serious note, ask you mechanic, they often have partnerships with bodyshops for this kind of work which means you get a better deal.

No mechanic as yet, car is only a few months old.

Trimtech will quote you but imo they are very expensive, but do a good job

Sorry to hear that OP. I recently went to Joe at Fitzwilliam Garage, 8 Hagan's court, Off Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2 (01)6761409 for something similar. Might be a bit far for you, but the result I got was a faultless job with perfect colour match. Worth getting him to have a look. Not sure the price was particularly (as in really) cheap, but for the quality of work, service and finish I'd go back. I've seen some poor jobs done elsewhere but couldn't complain about the job they did, I genuinely couldn't see any colour difference in panels afterwards.
