I went looking for G12 coolant today and the motor factor supplied me Bardahl type D. Is this compatible with G12? It's for an 06 Audi A4.

Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Compatible or not, I would go to a dealer and get the new VAG G13 coolant. 13 euro for 1.5 litres. You mix it 50/50 with water.

The G13 is longlife where as the generic stuff may not be.

Are you topping up or changing the coolant.

Topped it up with the type D yesterday. Hopefully it's compatible.

Would be ok for a top up. Unless it is a major top up of course.
