sky+hd box no signal

    My sky box is saying no signal, its not picking up anything, its not the dish as I have a sat tuner inbuilt in the telly and I hooked the wire to that and its getting a perfect signal, iv tried all the usual stuff, was on to sky and they were no help, they said we will send out an engineer on tuesday but it will be 100 euro, I threatened to cancel and they then agreed to a tenner but I like to get it sorted myself asap if possible, thanks

    Check cables have not been pulled.
    Could be a bad connection.

    The cables are fine, as I said I have the cable hooked to the tv now and receiving fta till tuesday

    Oh I meant to say aswell I have the card trick done on the box, could this have messed it up somehow

    Were you told to reset the box I had to because it would not record or pause but lost everything saved.

    I have same problem. Sky coming out next week to me.

    Please don't blame me if you try this and it doesn't work for you but I noticed the cable closest to the power cord was bent abit and this is what is causing the problem.

    I have cut the cable past the bend and stripped the wire back to the the pin. I haven't put the metal casing back on and just reconected. this has worked for me
