SHHHHHHHHHH You want the whole country in there?

Yes. Have been, a good bit. One of my favourite places in the universe.

ha ha - but what else is on the menu apart from steak? and do they have any nice wine?

Not much I don't think. It must be a decade since I looked at a menu there though. It's steak or a cold plate... Wait, i think I saw someone have a sandwich once. Looked good. I never had anything other than steak, nor anyone with me.

They have 4 wines. 2 red, 2 white. French and chilean. Not particularly fancy.

Nothing fancy. If you want a meal, no bother, if you want a fine dinning experience, [?].

Be early, when I worked out that way it was always very busy, it was my dinner location of choice.

Lived in Cork for 10 odd years & used to stop there on way back from Kerry on a Sunday. Wished we could have stayed the night plenty of times. :(:( It has something...

Would anyone be willing to detail the directions to it from Cork? Please PM me with them if it's a secret ;)

It's just off the N22 Ballincollig to Macroom road, about 15 minutes out of ballincollig. Turn right at the sign for farnanes (onto the R619). Can't be more than 200m up the road, you can see it from the road, next to a blue garda station.

No children after 7, and they don't take cards.
