    Hi all,
I am currently doing a project that involves removing a slab which has tested positive for pyrite.
Any good links or books that would be useful?
Any research on pyritic heave that you could mention would be great to have a look at.
I am also looking specfically at PSPI Petrographic Swelling Pressure Indicator, and would like to find some good books/ documents on identification of pyrite by using reflections under a micro scope.
Any other useful info on pyrite in general (offical, eg books, journal, papers etc..

Many thanks in advance, any help in researching pyrite would be greatly apprieciated.
    Regards

Are you planning to examine concrete thin section samples under a petrographic microscope and are, initially, wondering how to identify the mineralogy?

I'm unsure if I can offer any advice; but I'm interested in your project!

I am planning on doing some water soluable sulphate tests on two aquired samples from different locations, might throw in a blank sample too and do some nice graphs to show my findings, i hear that the facilities might be in UCD college to get tje samples cut thin enough for analysis under the microscope so going to see if i can organise that also.

Hopefully i can get some results from these tests and I will be happy to share any results if your at all interested.

And other info on pyrite remediation in general would be a help for me in writing up my project so dont hold back in adding your two cents to the thread!
