    Bloke walking towards O'Connell bridge today with His strides around his ankles holding an Umbrella in the lashing rain/snow,I get to Talbot St and there's a lady inhaling Lighter Fluid type stuff with a lit smoke in her other hand,never a dull moment.

    Yup, strides are what Alf Stewart calls shorts/trousers.

    He's the only person I've ever heard using that word.

    Years back I was out drinking with a couple of the lads (that'll tell you how long even!). Anyways, someone dared me to walk down the street with me pants around me ankles. Being pissed I of course complied (boxers still on).

    Next thing a squad car drives past, a Ban Garda sticks her head out the window and shouts, 'Nice Legs!'. Fair play to her!
