I was in abit of an accident last week.

It hit a car from behind, when trying to change lanes.

Since it happened I have lost all my confidence, just wondering if there was anything I could do to help get it back.

I am a learner driver so not driving long any advise appreciated.

Don't stop driving. Put it down to experience but learn from your mistake. Your confidence will return, don't worry or stress to much, bumps happen to the best of drivers

Exactly as Mascot says, get back in the car, be more observant, and allow more room, and learn learn learn!!

    good luck, and safe driving!

Look on it as a learning experience. Analyze what happened, what you did and how you could have done things differently to avoid what happened. For example, were you driving too fast considering the conditions? Were you following the car in front of you too closely? Did you check your blind spot at the appropriate time? Did you indicate in enough time that you were changing lanes? Even if you did, were other drivers aware of what you were doing and willing to let you in? Did the car that you hit do something unexpected (such as brake suddenly) and if so, what can you do to cut down on your being impacted if something like that ever happens again? When you have the answers, take that knowledge and awareness and apply it to all of your future driving. You can't change the past, but you can dictate how your future driving will go.

When I first began driving, I made a couple of mistakes that led to a couple of close calls. I got the absolute crap scared out of me. Getting back into the car afterwards was very hard, but I never, ever made those mistakes again. Getting the pants scared off me made me a much, much better and safer driver than if those incidents never happened. So try to look on it as learning experience and move on. :)

    Up the Dubs ! :D:D:D
