The burgers were always safe. They tasted like burger for a small price.Happy days.

I don't see the big deal tbh.But they're all taken off the shelves so you're all good.

Actually turns out that every cow in Ireland and the rest of the world is made of horse meat.

They're actually horses, they just paint them like cows so they're more realistic.

I strongly suspect that horse meat is among the healthier things anybody buying frozen burgers eats each day.

its not the supermarkets specifically but the suppliers and who they supply to. So the suppliers with traces of horsemeat and pork were: silvercrest, dalepack and liffey foods. Dawn meats, another big supplier, got the all clear though.

100% beef means that the meat is 100% beef, this is the case in affected burgers however the other 30% is additives and binding ingredients which is where the horse came in,

No burgers are pure beef, they would just fall apart. If you want a pure beef burger get a steak.

It's not horse meat, its horse DNA, its proteins etc used in binding ingredients

Is it that you are consuming horsemeat unknowingly or consuming horse product at all that is offensive?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,438 ✭✭✭TwoShedsJackson

So what's actually wrong with horsemeat? Horses are cute is that it? Pigs and cows get no love. If it's made of meat and tastes nice, I'll eat it.

Talk about missing the point. Most people would like the option of knowing what the fúck they're eating.

If you buy beef burgers one would expect them to be made solely of beef.
