    Hi all,

If you call up Traffic Watch is it best to give your name and number or not? What happens if you don't? Will the guards still follow up? What happens if you do?
If anybody has experience I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks.

In case you end up testifying in front of a judge.

So what? Surely if you're prepared to ring traffic watch over some tool acting the bollox on the road you'd be ready to repeat this in a court room. Highly unlikely btw.

unless you're prepared to make a written statement and go to court. there is no point in even ringing up.

if you just want someone to vent to. phone joe

True. The service seems a waste to me. I called twice and there was no follow-up the first time and the call wasn't picked up the second time.

Have to disagree with the above post. I have called numerous times for different issues and 9/10 I've personally seen the problem dealt within a couple of minutes of me calling.

Imagine YOU yourself at the other end of that line. Would you act on an anonymous call?
Would you wonder why the caller wanted to hide their identity and whether the caller had anything to hide regarding the report and their possible personal involvement in the incident?
    What would you do?

I find that a bit silly. I simply don't want to be involved in a potential court case (especially since I haven't done anything wrong), I'd find that stressful and I imagine it would take a lot of my time.

I simply wonder if the guards act on the report if one doesn't leave one's name and number.
