    hi guys my car was perfect all week then the other day after a long drive the car radio just went off and battery light came on then all of a sudden the airbag light started flashing so i pulled over to check it and turned the car off then went to turn it back on and it was dead so i went and got a new battery car started went fine then after awhile same thing happened! havent a clue whats wrong with the car and havent got the money for mechanic not yet anyways any idea? thanks

    Sounds like a possible alternator problem. What kind of car is it?

    nissan almera 1998 1.4 litre the car makes a loud clicking noise when I turn the engine on and gives a tiny rev then gives up? any idea on how much an alternator might cost

    It will be cheaper to get it reconditioned. While its in getting reconditioned stick the battery on charge.

    you could get alternator brushes from ebay under 10 euro delivered, and change yourself, there is some instruction how to do it.
