Hi guys. I have a built in satellite tuner in new tv and am trying to do away with Sky.
Problem is when I go to tune in satellite stations it only finds Astra 19.2 satellite.
Could it be that dish is pointing at 19.2 and not 28.2. Itsthe basic Sky package and was installed about 4 years ago.
    Thanks in advance.

All Sky digital programmes are received from the 28 degrees east position.

Unless the Sky installer made use of a multi-lnb dish already in place, you won't be getting anything from 19 east.

No it was a fresh install but not sure how i would be picking up 19.2 on the inbuilt tuner now.

Is the tv actually displaying channels from 19 east, or just strength/quality display? Some frequencies are used at both 19 & 28.

peter how did you solve problem, was tv capable of tuning into astra 28.2 or did you have to add a seperate decoder, also were you able to recieve the irish channels on this tv without an additional decoder. Thanks mclapton
