sportback LED tail lights upgrade

just wondering has any one did a upgrade to a led tail lights on a audi a3 sportback ? for what i know you can buy lights with adaptors but then you have to upgrade vag code ,should i go to the dealer for the vag upgrade ??

If its anything like the a5, it is a major pain to do.
On the a5 there are aftermarket kits but only for left Hand drive cars. Audi do a full kit for the a5 which includes lights, wiring and a new control module which has to be coded not by vagcom but by audi dealer as it needs factory link (svm coding). Its about €1000 fitted.

Id say the a3 could be the same deal.
