It's the same reason they don't broadcast the 3pm football matches in the UK. They want people to go to the match...

Drinking orange juice and brushing your teeth afterward= nothing.

Brushing your teeth then drinking orange juice= what I'd imagine Satan's nutsack sweat tastes like.

you know what doesn't make sense! as soon as i heard HMV weren't taking vouchers anymore the other day i suggested a company should accept the vouchers in exchange for goods,

a company in Cork only this morning decided to take up the same idea and now everybody's copying them

why is it when a nobody like me comes up with an idea its worth nothing,

when some business does it suddenly they are all in! :(

But that company wont make money, because they never sold the vouchers in the first place... that in itself doesn't make sense!

another thing that doesn't make sense, when you make a post on boards and get one or two thanks, then someone three posts later makes the exact same post and gets loads of thanks or makes post of the day!

    Why so?
Is it any different to someone outside of England watching soccer?

If i somehow clicked on the wrong website (happens i suppose) and it turned out to be porn (happens much less often), but it turned out to be blocked - i wouldn't go investigating the reasons why? That makes no sense - if it was an accident in the first place.
If on the other hand i was actively seeking porn (which i have been known to do) then, i might check out why i couldn't get it.

Fess up OP - we won't judge you........perv!

    Chewbacca doesn't make sense.

I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk.
But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks?
That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing.
Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case!
It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen,
I am not making any sense!
None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense!
If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests

Buying a pack of burgers with the 100% beef logo in Tesco only to discover there is also horse meat in them. So much for 100% quality

Traces of horse meat. Meaning a very small amount. Plus horse meat is edible.

    29% means traces?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 426 ✭✭Baneblade

    29% is not a trace

the box might say 100% beef but the ingredients on the back sometimes says 90% beef
but that 90% is 100% irish beef ;)

    Oh hold the phone....
    traces of pig meat,

I was mixing up the horse and pig meat. :p

But I'm fairly sure that horse meat is edible.

Maybe he's an aid worker or something. Or wants a nice cottage on an isolated planet to write novels and get away from the big smoke that is Kashyyyk.

    This post makes no sense.

I have a tree nut allergy and most people think that peanuts are nuts. Peanuts are a legume so I can eat peanuts with no problem. However, if peanuts are processed in a plant where they make batches of "mixed nuts" then it could be a problem.

Peanuts aren't nuts. They are legumes.

Two things comes to mind that make no sense to me.

Firstly, the use of the very irriating expression Y.O.L.O.

How can pointing out of the fact they you have only one life, and it thereby being extremely valuable, be used as a kind of justification for very risky behaviour?

"Why are you juggling a Ming vase and a faberge egg?"

"oh its fine, the vase and egg are both unique specimens that can't be replaced."

    "........."

The second thing that doesn't make sense to me is boards.ie moderation.
