DPM, INSULATION, UNDERFLOOR, SCREED

    Dear All,

About to get ready for floor screed. I am wondering as to the correct installation of a dpm and insulation. I have a raft foundation with radon barrier under. I was going to then lay a dpm over the raft foundation, place insulation over, then put another membrane over this followed by underfloor heating and finally screed. is this procedure correct or is the dpm under insulation and membrane over insulation overkill? membrane over the insulation is to prevent flow type screed from rising the insulation.

    Any info much appreciated

    Who designed the raft?

    Who designed the raft?

Raft fully designed by engineer who is now in australia. He has provided me with drgs which show that dpc has been installed correctly above raft. He has specified 1200 guage DPM on slab lapped up walls with insulation then to top with screed over. My main queries are in relation to the following:

    - flow type screed providers request a membrane to be placed above the insulation to prevent ingress of screed between insulation joints. can i place my DPM instead above the insulation to act also as this membrane.

    - i will have some first fix plumbing like sink piping for a kitchen island which will be installed first. I will then cut insulation around and over these pipes. if i progress with putting my DPM on the slab, can i place this over the first fix pipes and then place insualtion so that plumber does not penetrate DPM when fixing first fix pipes to slab.

    again any advice much appreciated

    Regards
