How to use radiators?

Not sure how to work the radiators, seem to be connected to an immersion timer. Have switched them to "on" as opposed to "clock" but do I still need to to set the time? If so, should the little tabs be pushes in or pulled out? And do I need to switch/adjust anything on the radiators themselves?

    Thanks!!

The immersion is to heat the water in a copper cylinder. Your heating supply or back boiler heats the radiators. Do you have any oil tank in the garden? Are you hooked up to a gas supply?

I think your confusing the immersion and the heating.
Immersion = hot water (generally turn on/off in hot press)

The heating timer you refer to is for the radiators (but it will also heat the water at the same time)

If you switch it to 'on' the rads will heat up irrespective of the clock.
If you want to program the heat to come on... look at the side of the dial and ensure the time is correct. (twist to correct if not)
Pull out all the little tabs and press them in on the times you want the radiators to heat up.
The radiators will have dials on them too this is to control individual radiators when the heating is on. (prob best to leave them be)

What type of heating system do you have? Is there a boiler?

Do the 'radiators' have pipes or wires coming from them?

Is there a thermostat (temperature dial) somewhere?
