PayPal conversion rate

Does anybody know a Chrome or Firefox extension or anywhere that can accurately tell me how much I am likely to pay before pulling the trigger on an item? I'd like to pre order a Ouya for $119. Depending on where you go you'll get multiple estimates on what $119 converts to Euro. Surely it's not too much to ask to know exactly beforehand?

Just log into paypal and you can do it.

I think you have to attempt to pay money, it shows the conversion rate and then do not go through/confirm with the payment.

Check their rates first!
The last time I used them they were terrible on the exchange rate.
xe.com is the current spot rate and the cc companies take around 1.5% either side and a small charge on top.
Still worked out better against paypal.

Be prepared to pay an extra percent in exchange fees , however you will probably also have to pay 23% vat and a handling fee on arrival in Ireland

Any time I did it the CC were only a tiny bit better than PP. I hope you are not getting the XE rate and putting 1.5% on it?

Nobody gets the XE rate, the banks rate is always worse, and then have the 1.5% on top. Visa had a site which had the current rate, you could put in your figures and your bank charge and it did it all for you.
