+1 on the Ireland country jersey.

Its great stuff and wears well. First socks I've ever owned that have avoided the laundryroom sock blackhole :)

    Welcome to the club Rob.

If you are ever in London it is worth checking out their shop/coffee shop just off Lower Regent Street.
It brings bike snobbery to an entirely new level. You could butter bread with the smugness.
Fantastic, I felt right at home.

In terms of Rapha Gear the accessories are miles better than the jerseys or shorts.

Overshoes are by far and away the best I have had.
    Winter gloves are brilliant.
Caps, armwarmers and knee warmers superb.

Jerseys get very very heavy once sweaty - better for commuting than training.
Shorts - the Lycra used is very very flimsy. Chamois is good though.

Thanks, am tempted by their "cross" shorts, would have got the Ireland jersey too except it's out of stock....

    .

I was in London for a couple of days over Christmas, was looking forward to browsing their stock, but it was shut, closed for refurb til mid February.
I have rapha winter gloves (they're ok, don't rely on them to keep your fingers warm in freezing temps tho) and the infamous rapha winter hat which has been great.

I can just see a recent lodgement in the Rob fowl account "UCI REF ..." or "ARMSTRONG L REF ..." which would explain a lot...

    gilet arrived today too....

Very pleased that 1) I got one and 2) I waited til the sale to get one!

It's lovely stuff, but wouldn't fancy paying full price for it! (now my winter hat has some company!)

this. Only I have been hearing the siren call of the hardshell jacket, if for no other reason than the softshell has been so good surely the hardshell might be better...

I only own a set of arm warmers and have to say I think they're great. Have been tempted by other items in the past but never pulled the trigger. I would love to try the gilet though. Going to invest in a good one soon as I love gilets. Have some left over from another sport that transition perfectly to cycling so have been using them until now. Very versatile piece of gear in my opinion

    You'll love this then.

Looks like you need an executive facial hair trimmer to go with the shirt.

    Greg is still cool though.

Problem is you won't like wearing any other cycling gear when you go out! It's always the first stuff I reach for when heading out for a spin.

I think you may be correct that the site is not officially endorsed by Rapha. However I can attest that the quality of their Bespoke Poultry Tamper is second to none...
