Bank holiday entitlements

I work 3 days part time in a hotel. When I get paid for a bank holiday I don't get a full days pay. I am told as I am only working part time I only get paid a 5Th of my weekly wage. Also I did not get paid for Bank Holiday Christmas day as they were closed . Is this correct? Many Thanks June
