A number of users are having difficulty activating their accounts so this is a quick walkthrough of how to activate your account along with re-send the activation mail.

When you're not activated you'll see the following notice at the top of every page:

Note: If you are having trouble finding your activation mail you can re-send the mail using the link highlighted above. You should see a screen confirming the mail was re-sent:

The next step is to head to your email inbox and find the activation mail. We are having some problems with users identifying our emails as Spam, especially with Gmail. With that in mind do be sure to check your Spam folder for mails. All of our mails are sent from no-reply@boards.ie. If you find the mail in your Spam folder then please be sure to mark it as "Not Spam" using the button at the top of Gmail under the search bar:

Please allow up to five minutes for your mail to arrive before attempting to re-send again.

Once you find the mail click the link it contains:

You should see a confirmation like so:

    Notes:

Activation mails are only valid for 24 hours. If you attempt to click on a link in an activation mail that's older than that you will receive an error. Simply go back to step 1 and re-send the mail to get a fresh link.

Activation is only necessary for accounts that are Awaiting Activation. Clicking on a link from an activation mail when you're already activated will result in an error message being displayed.
