    Have done a lot off sea and shore fishing over the last number of years but its time for a change.
    looking to do some fresh water fishing on local lakes or rivers/streams for the first time, I live in the Mayo-Westport area and see permits required nearly every where,
    I Just want some advice and tips on a area i could go to,what gear i need for trout fishing.
    I have a spinning rod and fly rod at least to start with.

    IFI have a game angling guide for Co. Mayo available on their website at http://fishinginireland.info/useful.htm - scroll down to Game Angling, its a PDF available for download. Plenty of info in there...
