The real famous ones, such as Beckham, Ronaldo and Joey Barton?

    Honestly? who cares?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

More like sometimes they need someone to babysit them!

Unfortunately they're paid ridiculous sums of money OP.

Wealthy people sometimes become targets for undesirables.

    I'd say so.

Otherwise Messi would have Madrid fans kicking him in the shins wherever he goes....

Barton employs a bodyguard to protect other people from him.

Not all of them, it depends on what life they want to lead.

I know Paul Scholes reasonably well and he still walks around unbothered, has his flash car but also a 10 year old Mondeo so he can drive around unnoticed, still goes to the snooker club with his old mates and regularly goes out to a couple of the local pubs for lunch with his family.

I'm locking this before Sir Alex gets out of bed and goes postal on your ass.

Soccer stuff goes in the soccer forum, as per the charter.
