144a is the same strength as 134a and is a replacement to 134a which was banned by something called the "japan protocol".

    DO NOT USE GREEN GAS.

Well when i read the post with 134a and gas shotgun first brand that popped into mind was maruzen, and they are only meant to take low pressure gas like 134a (144a). Green gas shortens the life of the internal parts due to the high pressure of it.

Apologies seller might have jumped the gun a bit (pardon the pun), should have asked the brand name. But if the manufacturer recommends 144a then use that.

Out of curiousity what brand is it??

Yeah i no the 144a is ment to be better for the gun life but i was woundering why green gas was so bad to use.

The shotguns i have are the m500 and also the mad max double barrel shotgun and it didnt say what gas should be used in it. I cant remember the nmaker of the m500 i think it muruzen but could be rong.

Green gas is a high pressure gas, the more pressure the more strain it will put on internals. I don't know what brand the mad max shotguns so really could not tell you what gas it runs off, but I do know most Maruzen shottys are meant for 144a, you can use green gas if you want but it will shorten the life of the internals apparently. I'd imagine it will give you a bit of a fps boost too.

the agm m500's generally come in @1.3j with green gas and just under 1j with 134a.
