Has anyone any advice on information on teaching in an International School in Switzerland?

I'll have the Hdip in Education (Languages) for secondary teaching in May so would love to know if anyone has experience of teaching over there or knows anyone who does it.

A guy I was in college with went there after we graduated (science teaching) 12 years ago and is still there teaching. From what he has said the level courses is of A level standard.

Cheers for that. Any idea of what school or what they pay?

I have no idea of pay, I know he lives in Basel now so I assume he works there. I don't think he was based there when he started on. A lot of the international schools have on campus accommodation, cafeteria etc, so costs can be kept down in that respect if you are happy to live in school accommodation.

Pay and conditions are probably best for the individual school at the interview.

Does anyone have any info on international schools in general? As in, elsewhere other than Switzerland? Pay/conditions etc?

Does anyone know where they advertise jobs?

Look here. They also have forums on how to approach international teaching jobs and what to expect.

I had an interview for one in 2008. I ended up not taking as I got a job here. The pay was about €20,000 but all staff got free accommodation and meals.
