Hi, got an installer about a year and a half ago to put in a quad lnb and run four cables.

One of the cables was to bedroom, only got around to putting a tv in the bedroom tonight. Alas, no signal being received by the cable.

Checked connections tv end, no issues there.

Any installers nearby to check cable and connections to lnb?

    Thanks

    Paul

Is the dish high up? Could you get a friend or relative with a ladder to help you or maybe somebody from boards who lives nearby and save some money? Are there wall plates in the house? :)

Hi, house standard 3 bed semi, no wall plates.

Just to say sky in back room and frees at in front room are working no problem

Afraid I do not know anyone brave enough to go on the roof.

You'd need an additional roof ladder and safety gear, a harness for it to be safe to go up twenty five feet or so.

It is slightly easier than that as there is a flat roof extension at the back of the house.

Try connecting up to a STB first to rule out problems with the tv setup/tuner.
