Thai shows in Cork

Its a good time to be a fan of Thai Boxing and MMA in Cork. In the next few weeks there are 4 shows.

Cobra are doing a show at St Finbarrs H&F club on Feb 9th. I have no idea of a line up for it, but as far as I know there are a good few clubs putting forward fighters so should be fun.

The main show though is in Neptune on March 9th. Main Event will be Rungravee Vs Dean James in a title Vs title match. Not sure who else is fighting yet, but I assume the usual suspects from Warriors and Cork Thai etc will be entertaining us that nigth as well. Martin Horgan reckons it will be the biggest show he has promoted so given what he has done previously, we should be in for a treat.

There is talk of another show in The Commons Inn March 16th, but have precisely zero details on this as of yet.

    Good times.

as regards the judgeing when you have 20 novice fights, with only 4.5 minutes of action it can be hard to find a clear winner. The Cobra show made a lot of new fans for Muay Thai in Cork and there was some great tear ups

The guy in the 4th last fight who took that sickening KO - any idea what happened? I looked away, then saw him flat out. A lot of attention was given to him as well. It was pretty unnerving.
