Connecting Galaxy S2 to A tv
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and have bought a HDMI adapter cable. I have connected everything the way it describes on every internet site i can find. It does work, I can view everything on my phone on the tv screen...until i go into an App or something that the Internet is required for and then the whole tv screen goes blank. And the internet goes on my phone as well.

    Anyone any ideas??

You're trying to get porn on the 42" plasma, right?

Assuming you're connected over wifi (could you be too far away from the router)?
Are you on stock Samsung ROM or not? (the CM based ones won't have the TV out driver)

I had a similar problem to this (connect to the TV, wifi disconnects) and fixed it by changing wifi channel on my router.

I don't think the HDMI cable is supposed to mirror your phones screen to the TV, just play movies, music & pictures. I think you may be expecting too much from it...

Not sure about the S2, but it mirrors it on the S3. I'd imagine that the S2 should mirror too?

How much can I expect to pay for the adapter? Where did you guys but it? I see it at the link below. Is this a fair price?

I'm got one from China off eBay for about a tenner. Looks like it's genuine Samsung, came in proper packaging with official looking instructions. Took about 3 weeks to arrive so I thought I'd been had, but it got here and works fine.

It does, I have a bluetooth mouse connected to my S2 and can control it while connected to HDMI
I have this adapter, works fine:

Sorry. I had thought it was for an S3. Now that I read the op properly I see you're on about an S2.
