    Hi,

I'm gonna be running my first half marathon in Edinburgh this May and was intending on running on behalf of a charity.

    http://www.edinburgh-marathon.com/?charity-information&charities_id=73

Although when I went about choosing said charity, there appeared to be the need to raise minimum £300 (fair enough, i would like to raise this much) but I'm not sure I will with the majority of my friends being students and recession etc, people being skint.

So my question is, if I fall short of the £300 target, do I have to make up the difference myself? 'cus i can't afford to on a student budget.

    Any help appreciated.

p.s can i just pay my own way and then fundraise anyways? Actually of course i can, stupid question. Think this could be the best solution.

Why not pay the extra 9.50 to enter and use mycharity.ie instead ?
