Connecting Galaxy S2 to A tv

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and have bought a HDMI adapter cable. I have connected everything the way it describes on every internet site i can find. It does work, I can view everything on my phone on the tv screen...until i go into an App or something that the Internet is required for and then the whole tv screen goes…

How does it apply to Radio in any form? Try the Phones or Television forums.
