    Hi,

Does anyone know if i would need to inform the welfare office that i am going out of the country as i will only be gone for 6 days and it will not affect me collecting my JSA payments.

    Thanks Daver

I don't think you need to inform them in this case Daver. I know you're entitled to 2 weeks holidays every year but seens as you are here to collect your payment and it doesn't affect your signing on day then I'm pretty sure you don't need to bother but I am open to correction.

You do actually need to inform them, as not informing them would make them unaware you were out of the country/on holiday. The legislation provides for 2 weeks holidays per calendar year, but if you weren't to inform them then you could take a holiday every second week for 6 days! (I know that scenario isn't very likely down to the cost of so many holidays, but it is fraud and it is possible if you don't notify the dept)
