Conversatory meeting building regulations exemption?

I went to view a house yesterday which had a conservatory linking the house from the kitchen and dinner room. Between the conservatory and the dining room there was a double glaze glass door but nothing between the kitchen and the conservatory. I was reading the requirements under building regulations 1991 and it says “All conservatories must be separated from the house by an external quality door, patio door or French doors.” The house did not look to me more than 15 years old.

My question: Is that conservatory built meeting the building regulations to avail exemption?

conservatories etc can be exempt from building regulations if under 25 sqm (with some other requirements)
