MDF WINDOW BOARDS AND MOISTURE

    Dear All,

I have Primed MDF window boards installed. I have noticed now that my internal plaster is drying out that 3 of the boards have a bubbled effect on their surface like a small swelling. I think that this was caused my excess moisture in room from plaster drying out as windows were not opened. Can i use a fine grade sand paper like say 240 grade and lightly sand back these blemishes to create a smooth finish once more and then reapply a primer and final paint coat or can this be done with MDF. Any advice would be most welcome.

    Kind Regards

    Jimmytom

i have got a window scraper, and used the balde to skim off anything that is raised, then finely sand and i lightly coated the bare mdf with some pva (polybond) and used filler when needed, it worked ok, but because its mdf theres only so much you can do

They should have been cut from moisture-resistant MDF. If MDF gets wet at all it will swell a LOT.
