Another faux Rs model to cash in on the dying motoring icon that is the Audi RS series - yipee!

If it doesn't have space for a dog and 5 doors then it shouldn't carry an RS tag,it all went down hill with the introduction of the B7 RS4 saloon*

*i would of course drive one in a heart beat but it's a motors enthusiasts forum and i am perfectly entitled to take the petrol heads highground :D

When Audi announced they were only bring out the current Rs4 in avant form i was impressed i thought they clearly must be trying to return it to it's original form a super fast estate.

Now however i think it was just to boost sales of RS cars like this one that fall into the "I'm a skobie i don't want an estate bracket" as if you buy an RS non estate car then you are clearly just a skobie with new money (probably sourced from an injury claim or the lotto) that hasn't a clue about motoring heritage. :D:D:D

Screw the heritage, I'm not middle aged. :pac:

Audi are claiming the 0-62mph will be a shave under 3.9sec thanks to in part 553 pound-feet of torque on hand from just 1,750 rpm Thats faster than any previous RS model and even faster than the current M5 and M3.

    Thats impressive

I hope they've invested hundreds of thousands of man hours in making a glove compartment door hinge that doesn't break when you blink at it.

That engine is a monster - check out this youtube video of the same engine in the new S8.

In particular watch from about 3.30 in. The engine puts out nearly 600HP even though its quoted as 520HP in the S8.

Mods - you might fix my youtube link please?
