Why won't amazon .Co.UK ship to my address in Ireland?

I can't figure it out. Stuff like electronics etc.. Which says it can be shipped in the terms and conditions.

Any idea what I can do?

Shipping is dependent on a couple of things. In some cases there are distributions agreements which prevents them selling inside/outside of certain territories.

In Amazon's case they don't ship some electronics to Ireland because they don't want to pay the PRF.

You can use www.parcelmotel.com to have the parcel shipped to a UK address and then forwarded onto a PO Box in Ireland, bypassing any address restrictions.

Also make sure you are buying direct from Amazon and not a third party seller.

And as has been said, Amazon do not ship a number a number of electrical items due to the PRF and also sometimes due to size, e.g. tvs.

As seamus said, parcelmotel is your friend here. Great service.

Thanks that's seems to be the best workaround.

I presume it's only of use for the likes of Amazon or other free UK delivery sites?

Useful for ebay aswell, you'll find a lot of UK sellers who either won't deliver to Ireland or charge a fortune.

No discussion of scams please. From the charter.

This is really postal fraud, there are numerous threads complaining about the high postal costs here, the postal workers & other costs involved in forwarding on the post from scams like this have to be paid somehow. It is not a 'victimless crime', just like non-payment of a TV licence, others have to suffer a higher licence fee to cover them.

I think the preferred method now is to use Parcel Motel's package forwarding service to ship items from the UK. It's above board and you can be pretty much guaranteed that your package will get to you and not be sent back by a post office worker in Belfast.
