You'd get much better in Ireland, minus the pool of course but they're just hard work to keep clean.

No they actually are that price. Funny thing is it won't even be rented for 550. Will be haggled down to 400 - 450 on 12 month contract. Villas in Spain are never rented at asking price.

If you're going to put the effort in, then at least do it properly.

If I could only get a job there...

I'm moving next month and looking at paying far more for a one bed place. I'm still trying to determine if I can afford it.

That place though, that's affordable :)

The main bedroom looks decent otherwise it looks boxy and cramped,is the pool communal?

Spain has a wonderful way of life. If it wasn't for the fact that they speak Spanish and there are no jobs it'd be a great place to live.

Imagine trying to get up those stairs after a few Spanish measures of vodka?

An entire house for ten to six? Time is money, I guess.

To think, I'm paying 700 pm for shit and I was offered a job in Spain and for the same money I'm making here. I really wish I took the job now.

Ah the aul 15 Euro Ikea table in the sitting room, what a legendary table, have a couple myself:)

You can get this place in Leitrim for 50 euro less.

It's cheaper to live in the arse end of nowhere for some reason.

The communal pool sounds good but what if it looks like this.

And even if you had a job the pay would be crap and 500pm would be a large amount of your wages.

Pool is probably only June to September, and like you say, rent and other fees might increase in the summer. "Private" is pushing it. It's a pool you share with about 20 other apartments usually. It will also be relatively small. Nice for lazing in the sun and taking a quick dip to cool down, but useless for actually swimming in.

A lot of these gated complexes have lots of foreign owners, so the place is half deserted most of the year except for a couple of months in the summer when suddenly is jammed full of children.

It looks like it's built near a fairly sleepy town too, not a whole lot to do in the off-season.

  • I live in Spain. Houses and flats are very cheap here, but that's because the wages are really low, if you're lucky enough to even have a job. 500 pcm doesn't sound so cheap when you realise that the average person is earning about 1000 pcm and many a lot less. Now if you can live in Spain while earning your income from another country, that's when things get really good.

Dont like its location, miles away from any decent resort hence the lack of English speaking people to talk about the Premiership, GAA etc:mad:.

That stairs is a death trap too:eek:.

Location; No where near Valencia. Upside to that is that it won't smell like sewerage in summer. Down side is that you'll have to travel to work in Valencia and come home every evening in summer smelling of sewerage.

That is because they get paid much less there. If I could work from home and live in spain sure that would be grand. :D

    No internet, no deal.
