Anyone know any good places you could go with 5 kids that wont cost the earth during summer holidays? Kids are ages 8 to 15.

Derekeire, with 2+5 I'd recommend a campsite in France if your willing to drive. Sites have pools slides kids clubs as well as bars n restaurants. Really great for kids of all ages and you can go as far downin France as you so wish as sites are located all over France and of course the wine is so cheap. Siblu.ie, keycamp.ie will give u a idea of what's available. Generally as a rule the further south you go the better the weather. Hope this helps..

why not go self catering in Ireland?
A week in Enniscrone in sligo would only set you back about €400 euro
http://www.duneviewenniscrone.com/prices.htm for example, but theres more developments also available and nicer/ larger houses for a little more money.
Nearby you have a beach that is miles long where some of the kids can do surf lessons.
If the weather is bad theres a swimming pool in the village and for the younger kids one of Ireland biggest play centres in Ballina 15 or 20 min drive away.
Other seaside areas would be similar.

France would be great but realistically you are looking at the guts of 400euro each way for the ferry incl cabins and suppliments for so many kids before you even look at accomodation.

EDIT! woops, just saw "Euro holiday" in the title. Still, if money is the issue with getting 7 folks on an affordable holiday then maybe its a useful suggestion to someone !
