Waterford to McDonagh Jct shopping center.

Which is quicker the Bennetsbridge/KK turn off or Durrow/Kilkenny turn off.

Not sure what its called, but the second turn off is quicker as there is just a link road to the ring road, whereas the other way you do quite a stretch of the old road.

Yup, take the second exit for Kilkenny and just keep going straight. Much quicker IMO.

    The answer is it depends:

Firstly on what time of day (and hence what kind of traffic)
Secondly on how fast you drive on the motorway.

Staying on the motorway and taking the second exit is about 4.8km longer - 17.1km rather than 12.4km - that's 38% longer so you need to average 38% faster.

I work beside McDonagh Junction and there's basically no difference unless you're gonna put the foot down and drive 140-160km/h on the extra motorway, and can tear in the link road well over the 100km/h limit there.

Or just somewhere to park while visiting a friend, or any number of other reasons, all of which are irrelevant to the question.
