    These scales are pocket scales for weighing gold, weighing coins to make sure you're buying the real thing.

    Are also handy in the home lab for weighing chemicals, etc. Measure the accuracy of graduated cylinders and so forth ~ but on a budget for occasional usage.

    If I was Inspector Pottler instead of plain old Pottler, I'd get Amazons list of who bought scales and pop around to all their houses for the craic, just to see what they were weighing. It would be easier than mounting surveillance, beating confessions out of snitches and getting tips from bitter ex-girlfriends. "Hello, and what are we weighing today then??":D

    Think you need to demonstrate probable cause to secure a warrant to raid somebody.

    Having bought a digital scales is not sufficient probable cause.

    Don't be coming in here with your inconvenient reality. Inspector Pottler would have a licence to go anywhere, anytime, in the fight against fishy scales.

    My OH has several of these types of scales. She's diabetic so she uses them all the time to accurately measure the amount of food in a serving and work out the sugar content.

    She's not a drug dealer or master criminal (that I know of) :cool:
