2006 1.8TDCI 115hp DMF to SMF conversion

My CMax has developed the dreaded "death rattle" when turning off the engine, plus a slight knocking noise when the engine is idling with the clutch not depressed.
    My question is:
Is it better to convert to a single mass flywheel?
For some reason I can only find kits for that conversion for the MKI Focus, but not the MKII, are there any kits? Is it worth converting? Or has Ford sorted out the problem to the extend that I can rely on the DMF?
After all, the one in the car lasted 230000 km, if I get the same again out of another DMF, I see no reason to change.
If anyone has had any experience or can recommend me a supplier of SMF kits, please let me know.

I don't think there is a SMF conversation available, but search Valeo, they make a few of them for VAG and others. As regards to changing to SMF (If available), really depends if you doing the milage and driving style for a DMF, if you are and the DMF is gone, you need to look into why, faulty injectors can cause DMF to go. I don't think any issues have caused an upgrade in the clutch kits, however, as I work for a company that sells SACHS clutch kits, there is a 4 pce DMF & Clutch kit being sold, clutch already mounted on the DMF, means the mechanic doesn't have top line these up and possible make an error.

The DMF's on the 1.8TDCI are a known issue and there are conversion kits available on ebay. This seems to be for the MKI Focus, so I'm wondering if the MKII uses the same clutch, or did they re-design the whole thing?
I've often read on the motoring section "Well, the DMF on the 1.8 TDCI WILL self destruct every 90000 km, better get it sorted"
Injectors are fine, out of curiosity, how can they affect my clutch?

It's to do with the vibrations and frequencies coming from the engine, the dmf is built to work to certain tolerances, something like dodgy injectors throws everything out of kilter

Thanks Colm, I thought as much, but:
I'm sure a dodgy injector would pretty much be obvious when driving the car in vibration, smoke, shudder, loss of power and generally running like a bag of nails. Especially when it's bad enough to tear a DMF apaprt.
A lot of mechanics like to say "dodgy injector" when not sure what the problem is, this nearly cost me a fortune when my CMax ground to a halt last year, my mechanic immediately said "Faulty injector, take the pump and all 4 injectors and have them tested" and this would have cost me hundreds.
I disagreed and Ford also advised me that the pump or the injectors in that car rarely give trouble.
After replacing a leaky fuel line, the car sprang back into action.
"Faulty Injectors" has become the equivalent of "Update the Firmware" in tech support, I should know, I work there :p
It's a great catch all that gets the customer off your back and keeps him busy while the support guy tries to figure out what the real problem is.

Aside from the whole injector debate, I have a new question:
Can anyone recommend a good independent garage in the Ennis/Limerick region that could tackle the clutch on my CMax at a reasonable price?
