    Guys and Gals,can I ask a question?
I bought a saorview TV for bedroom, set up ok,no problem, but if i go to teletext or whatever RTE call it now,the time is 1 hour ahead,TV3 is ok,TG4 is 15 mins late!!.O RTE news now time is right.
problem as EPG is I assume controlled by RTE it is 1 hour ahead, all very confusing, any suggestions? I have re tuned a few times no change.
On different point is any body else disappointed with quality of programming on saorview.RTE news is basically reruns,as is 3e.

What is the make and model of the Saorview TV?
Have you looked in the menu for a DST or summer time setting, there may be an Auto or similar setting?

check the menu settings, there is probably a setting for GMT , GMT+1, GMT-1 etc

you could try the auld factory reset, and reinstall

The time displayed on RTÉ News Now is part of the transmitted video generated back in the studio.

The epg displayed time is based on your TV's time settings. My Sony TV had this problem some years ago - set the Time Zone to GMT and Auto DST to ON - problem sorted. How to correct it will vary from TV to TV, check the manual.

Regarding TG4's teletext time, approx 7 mins. behind on my TV also. A TG4 problem, send them an email - they may not be aware of the problem.

Thanks for reply,it is not really a big deal just annoying,do not see how RTE time is wrong on text, while TV3 is ok,tried telly settings, same as yours no difference.

Both RTÉ's Digital Aertel and the epg use the TV's internal time settings, play around with the settings until you get the correct time displayed on Aertel and the epg.

Is your Samsung on the approved list - http://www.saorview.ie/product/samsung/
