Sorry for the really :confused: question. My son got one of these for Christmas, now we are trying to set it up ,but from what I can figure out.... We also need a goflex ultra portable drive. We don't have one of these and they retail at about €80 .so my question is it says you can also use a compatible external USB…

Or can we use it without such device if connected to laptop? I can't find any straight forward info on line. Any help appreciated.
