How best to arrange to pay commission to designers?

Hi All,

I'm not sure if anyone will have any ideas but here it goes.

Want to improve a retail offering by adding a unique artwork by a designer to an existing product.

I propose to pay a commission each time a product with their design on it is sold.

Has anyone any experience or ideas as to how I could administer this process effectively ? in terms of paying over commission and showing them how much as been sold volume wise etc....

Appreciate I am probably also walking into a contractual quagmire here also.
