I am mainly surfing with a sit on top sot kayak.
I have been surf kayaking on/off for numerous years.
I have used and owned a RTM Loko and a Feel free nomad.
The loko was years ago. The Nomad was only okay.

I tried out an ocean kayak Mysto recently i thought that was really good.
However i recently came across a teksport Xcite recently on the net, looks really good in the surf... anyone have any opinions of this kayak.?
Or any other kayak thats good in the surf?

BTW i have tried sit in's before and its not really for me..

Have a Mysto myself and find it very good if not a little bit too heavy to lift it around for a while, I find the perception scooter very good also . Don't think theres a big difference between sots for surf really , that's my two cents anyway

Second vote for the Scooter a savage Sit on Top for everything and they are fairly light too. U can run rivers, surf everything.

You could check out some of the Brands like Liquid logic they specialise in white water kayaks but have make a sit on top that can preform like a sit in, Its called the Coupe. Check it out (Might be abit pricey) www.i-canoe.com should be able to tell u the price.

    Hope this helps

Looks like a good kayak but as you said probably very expensive, and hard to get.
Also the high seat back would not be so good in the surf.
This is the kayak im seriously considering.
First one is 260 cm one the second the 290cm.
One carries a max of about 100kgs the second 130kgs

I think the average kayak like scooter and mysto are carrying up to 150kgs.
