What kind of ankle boots to wear?

    Saw a pair of jeans like these ones in H&M, with the same colour and print, almost, except the ones I saw have animal print rather than random dark streaks.

    I'm new to ankle boots :P And I was just wondering what kind of style would be nice with these jeans to give height but still be funky/cute. I'm not gone on the shoes shown in the link and would like something more edgier.

    Any ideas? I've looked in all the main stores and can't see ones I think would work but I don't know what to look for so might be missing good ones.

    Personally I don't like ankle boots with skinny jeans. I'd go with calf/knee boots. If you must get ankle boots I'd suggest the Chelsea style. Animal print can be difficult to wear do i would stick to plain colours, especially as there is already pattern in the jeans.

    I'm not mad about animal print jeans but I have to say Ankle boots look much better with skinny jeans...perhaps these style and colour black or brown would go well with your jeans. They are cute, not too high.

    I'm too short to wear calf/knee boots with them and I don't really like that look if I'm honest, even on medium-tall girls but that's just my personal opinion. I don't think that an open ankle boot/shoe would be great, so perhaps a short top/shaft on the ankle boot would be best?

    The Chelsea style is a great suggestion from what I've seen on google images. Esp with a heel. Had you something like this in mind Galwaygirl?
