Are sniper rifles more accurate?

Just want to know before I go spending my money on one. I know the range is no better than an AEG due to the fact that it has to be under 1 joule but what about the accuracy? Does the longer barrel do much? To anyone who has a sniper rifle. Cheers!

Depending on the make of the sniper e.g tokyo marui yes it would be quite good, but most snipers have very short barrels for such a long gun.
Longer barrel to an extent gives you more accuracy, same as an aeg. But it also is down to who made it and what upgrades are in it aswell.
It will seem alot less accurate when you shoot in the wind conpared to an aeg mainly because your not pumping out 15 rounds per second, this is what I find with mine.

Owned a TM VSR-10 G-Spec and even though the inner barrel was short, it was very accurate. Pretty much as $kilkenny, it depends on the make.
